DPG Report: There wasn’t a report at this time however the question was raised as to what is the DPG? Bob Mann answered Disaster Preparedness Group that will help out residents in the case of a true disaster and they are always needing Block Captains. All information is on the San Vicente Website.

Social Committee Report: Mollie Mann reported that the next Social Committee Event will be for Valentine Day however the date is February 12th NOT the 14th. It will be delicious pie and ice cream cost will be $3.00. Next is St. Patrick’s Day on March 18th. It will be catered by Stanley (!) and will be Irish Stew, Green Salad, Corn Bread with Honey Butter. ALL information is in the San Vicente Voice.

GSMOL/Scamper Report: Anne Anderson reported describing how these organizations help, education, legislation and organize. Information is on their website www.gsmol.org and encourages all to join.

Old Business:

Speeding: Speeding is still an issue. Fed Ex Ground has been seen going too fast several times, as has Meals on Wheels. Bob Mann reported that Meals on Wheels wrote a letter back which he read to the membership stating they talked to all their drivers.

Announcements/New Business/Guest Questions

Board Officers: The slate of officers will remain the same, except that Ellen Duke will replace Paul Ortega at Treasurer. Jack Jackson retired from the HOA and was thanked for his years of service. New Board members were introduced and seated….George Misbeek and Carolyn Howe.

New Exercise Equipment: Update is the Board will hold off until the lease is taken over in July by the new management.

Ronnie Sumter reported that there is apparently a Peeping Tom who has been observed and reported. He apparently had his cell phone on a selfie stick and was holding it up to people’s windows. Sheriff’s Department is who you would call as we are not in the city.

Residents wanted to know if writing to the Sisters to request they keep Parker/Rice Management. That address is 4200 Calle Real, Santa Barbara 93110. Please note that both the HOA Board and the Social Committee wrote letters in support of Parker/Rice about 10 months ago.

The next Board meeting is Thursday, February 9th, 2017, at 7 P.M. in the Clubhouse.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:04 pm.
